How To Carve A Fish Pumpkin Using Printable Patterns

First, it’s essential to know that you don’t need a large pumpkin, a smaller pumpkin will do just fine because you can scale the PDF files to fit any size.

However, some patterns are more suited to tall pumpkins, and some are better for wide pumpkins.

Save the pdf as a digital download and print it later, or print it directly from your internet browser screen.

Once you have printed a copy of the template, tape it to the pumpkin with masking or painter’s tape.

The quick way to do this is first to outline the grey areas using the tip of a pen or a thumb tack to push small holes around the edges.

Once you have your outlines, you can remove the paper. Sometimes the holes can be small and challenging to see.

If that’s the case, I recommend tracing black lines over the holes to help better define the outline.

Now use your favorite carving tools to carve away the areas in grey.

Then when you finish, add a led tealight or candle and place it on your front porch.
